I started Hollywell Building Services in August 1993 as an M&E company in the kitchen of Hart Road and in the early days our first customer was The University of Hertfordshire, where we undertook numerous small mechanical jobs and then were asked to undertake small building works as well.
We soon found that we were being referred to other customers and within three years the business was turning over £1m.
We moved in to New Barnes Mill as a tenant in 1996 and took on two staff. Business started to rapidly increase and we were increasingly acting as Main Contractor and not just doing M&E works.
Today, Hollywell turns over around £14m and employs over 75 staff and we operate throughout Southern England, engaged in works for numerous clients and operate predominantly in the Education and Transport sectors, offering 24/7 cover to all of our clients.
